Professional Experience
Anna joined McAndrews, Held & Malloy as a law clerk in 2009 and as a full time associate in 2011. While with the firm, Anna gained broad experience in litigation and patent prosecution covering a variety of technological areas. Anna conducted legal research regarding numerous patent, trademark and copyright issues. She drafted motions and extensive briefs for federal court filing. Her invalidity and non-infringement analysis of a family of patents led to a settlement of one of the firm’s cases.

Anna graduated cum laude from the Chicago-Kent College of Law as a recipient of a Full Tuition Merit Scholarship for all three years. Anna’s focus on litigation led her to participate in a two semester trial advocacy program where she completed over eight mock jury trials judged by practicing Judges from the Circuit Court of Cook County.

In 2008, Anna graduated magana cum laude from Northwestern University in Electrical Engineering. As an undergraduate, Anna completed extensive coursework in areas such as electronics, digital signal processing, control systems, computer architecture, robotics, data networks, and wireless communications.  As part of her course work, Anna designed and implemented a fully operational burglar alarm. In her senior year, Anna completed a two semester independent honors study program culminating with an 80-page thesis in the area of digital image and signal processing.

Anna completed each semester of her electrical engineering studies with high honors. Her achievements were recognized through memberships in Etta Kappa NU Electrical Engineering Honor Society, the National Dean’s List and the National Scholars Honor Society. Anna graduated number one in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department and was awarded The Best Electrical Engineering Senior Award in 2008.  Her accomplishments were also recognized internationally where upon graduation she received The William L. Everitt Award of Excellence in Electrical Engineering awarded annually by the International Engineering Consortium to one student in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department who shows outstanding contributions to the Electrical Engineering industry.

While attending the undergraduate program full time, Anna also worked at an entertainment media company as a Systems Engineer, where she designed and implemented database systems and software applications in C++, C#, .NET, JAVA, SQL. Anna was also responsible for the oversight of a 7-server network design and performed software and hardware troubleshooting
