Professional Experience
Christopher’s practice includes all areas of intellectual property, with an emphasis on patent litigation and prosecution.  He has worked with a wide range of technologies, including medical devices, chemical products, advanced materials, food processing, and computer software.  Christopher is experienced in all phases of patent litigation, including written discovery, depositions, motion practice, witness preparation, working with experts, and arguing before the court.  He has also helped clients procure patent protection with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Prior to joining McAndrews, Held, and Malloy, Christopher attended Cornell Law School, where he graduated with honors.  Christopher was active as the president of the Science and Law Student Association, was an editor of the Legal Information Institute Bulletin, and participated in Moot Court competitions.  In addition, he was awarded the CALI Award for Excellence in Patents and Biotechnology during his second year of law school.

While studying Materials Science and Engineering at Northwestern University, Christopher had the opportunity to gain invaluable laboratory experience in many of the same technologies he now works with at MHM.  Christopher worked as a laboratory researcher for Vitriseal Coatings, Inc. and helped develop new corrosion resistant coatings. He also participated in Northwestern University’s “materials-design” program, which explores various computer modeling methods for designing new alloys and composites.  Christopher also co-authored a publication in The Journal of Materials Science on plasma-sprayed ceramic coatings.
