Professional Experience
Christopher’s practice includes all areas of intellectual property, with an emphasis on patent litigation through discovery, trial, and appeal.  He has represented clients in large-scale patent disputes on technologies as varied as orthopedic implants, spinal surgery devices, GPS hardware, chemical products, advanced materials, food processing, and computer software.  He also has experience litigating Lanham Act, unfair competition, false advertising, and antitrust disputes, and regularly counsels clients on patent matters relating to mergers and acquisitions, licensing negotiations, and other matters.  

Prior to joining McAndrews, Held, and Malloy, Christopher attended Cornell Law School, where he graduated with honors.  Christopher was active as the president of the Science and Law Student Association, was an editor of the Legal Information Institute Bulletin, and participated in Moot Court competitions.  In addition, he was awarded the CALI Award for Excellence in Patents and Biotechnology during his second year of law school.

While studying Materials Science and Engineering at Northwestern University, Christopher had the opportunity to gain invaluable laboratory and industry experience.  Christopher worked as a laboratory researcher for Vitriseal Coatings, Inc. and helped develop new corrosion resistant coatings. He also participated in Northwestern University’s “materials-design” program, which explores various computer modeling methods for designing new alloys and composites. Christopher also co-authored a publication in The Journal of Materials Science on plasma-sprayed ceramic coatings.
