Professional Experience
David received his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University in 1998.  While at I.S.U., David was a member of the I.E. honor society and was on the Dean's List.  David graduated with distinction from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2001.  While at Nebraska, he was a member of the Moot Court Board and served as the College of Law Senator in the Association of Students of the University of Nebraska.  He won the 2001 ASCAP Nathan Burkham Legal Writing Competition for the Nebraska College of Law for his paper, Itar-Tass Revisited: Should U.S. Courts Apply Foreign Copyright Law?, which was published in December 2001 issue of the New York Bar Association's Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Journal.

Since joining the firm, David has gained experience assisting clients in a variety of intellectual property matters including prosecution of patents before the PTO, noninfringement/invalidity opinions, and evaluation of patented technology in business contexts.  David has also gained experience in many different aspects of litigation and licensing of patents.
