Professional Experience
Frankie joined McAndrews, Held & Malloy since March 2007.  Frankie is responsible for patent application drafting and patent prosecution on inventions applied to Broadband Wireless Communication technologies.

Prior to joining MHM, Frankie worked as an in-house Patent Engineer at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) in Pullman, Washington.  Frankie’s responsibilities at SEL included patent application drafting, prosecution review; correspond with outside patent counsels, capturing IP and generating invention disclosures before product release or disclosure to public.  Frankie had also assisted in projects including product clearance and competitors’ patent claim element comparisons.  Areas of patent experience encompass technology involving electric power generation, protection, control, monitoring, web information delivery.

Frankie’s initial patent career started as a Patent technical writer for a few patent attorneys in the Silicon Valley.  Frankie has done prior art searches, invention illustration, drafting applications and assisted in prosecution of patents on cases related to the fields of electronic devices, mechanical structures, chemical flow measurement and control system, storage area network systems, pattern search algorithm, integrated healthcare information management system and web based chat editor tool.  

Frankie has previously worked as a design and manufacturing engineer for several companies in California deigning RF and microwave circuits and components, low phase noise frequency sources, integrated subassemblies and frequency synthesizers for commercial and military communication applications.
