Professional Experience
Guy Levi received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Rutgers the State University of New Jersey. During his time at Rutgers his studies focused on the diffusion of molecules in semi-condensed matter, specifically focusing on the diffusion of volatile compounds from amorphous biopolymers as a function of first and second order phase transitions. Guy also served as a Laboratory Manager.
After finishing his graduate work, Guy joined Teva Pharmaceuticals as a Project Manager responsible for scale-up operation between RD&E and Manufacturing. Later, Guy worked for Pepsico International as a Technology Manager responsible for all technical and regulatory aspects of a food processing plant. Simultaneously with his work at Pepsico Int’l and Teva Pharmaceuticals, Guy served for three years as an adjunct professor at the Hebrew University Agriculture Faculty and the Bar-Ilan University, Pharmacology Department, where he taught courses in product development, engineering, and applied physical chemistry at the graduate level.
Subsequently, Guy worked as a New Technologies Specialist for Unilever PLC, where he was charged with identifying new technologies and applying them to Unilever’s needs.
Prior to joining the Firm in 2009, Guy was an associate with Pearl, Cohen, Zedek, Latzer LLP, where his practice focused on the life sciences (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, biomedical engineering, and home and personal care products), including all aspects of patent prosecution, portfolio development and maintenance, and opinions in the areas of freedom to operate, infringement, inventorship, and patentability.
