Professional Experience
John Wiberg has significant experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications. He has successfully prosecuted patent applications in diverse technological fields including computer storage devices, electromagnetic data head design and fabrication, servo control systems, speech recognition software, computer input devices, internetwork routing systems, programmable logic chips, gigabit Ethernet controllers, packet voice communication systems, digital video transmission and display systems, and biomedical devices. John also is experienced in prosecuting internet-related business method patents. His patent prosecution experience includes extensive international prosecution. John has also successfully conducted appeals before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences.
In addition to his patent prosecution experience, John has rendered numerous opinions on patent validity and infringement issues. He also has significant experience prosecuting federal trademark registrations and counseling clients on trademark matters. He also has counseled clients on matters of internet law.
He also obtained significant engineering experience at Wisconsin Electric Power Company prior to attending law school.
