Professional Experience Laura Personick practices a broad range of intellectual property law, with an emphasis on patent and trademark litigation. She has worked with such diverse technologies as the software, electronics and mechanics of barcode printers, orthopedic prosthetic devices, cryoablation medical devices and nutraceutical compositions. Laura's practice focuses on assisting clients by litigating and helping to resolve intellectual property disputes. She participates in all aspects of dispute resolution from pre-litigation consultation to trial and appellate work. Her work includes assessing and reviewing the legal issues surrounding clients' intellectual property, formulating litigation or dispute resolution strategy, preparing and participating in claim construction and summary judgment proceedings, participating in all aspects of discovery, including working with witnesses and experts, taking and defending depositions, and coordinating document review and production, and drafting appellate briefs. Laura also maintains an active transactional practice. She has (1) prosecuted patent and trademark applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, (2) drafted joint development agreements relating to computer software applications, and (3) prepared clearance opinions in the areas of CT and MRI devices and ocular devices and compositions.
