Professional Experience
Lydia A. Scarpelli joined the firm in 2007.  She provides technical support for patent prosecution in matters comprising electronics and communication systems.  Lydia has drafted over 100 patent applications.  Her patent prosecution experience spans a variety of wireless technologies, HD and 3D video processing, intelligent antenna devices, communication and device security, media transfer protocol and Ethernet systems.

Lydia gained valuable engineering experience during her career in wireless communications at Lucent Technologies.  Her projects included CDMA 2000, EVDO, network security, network performance measurements, intelligent antennas and geolocation.  In 2002 she received the Bell Laboratories President's Gold Award for Innovation, Technical Excellence and Business Impact for work on 1xEVDO high speed wireless data.

Lydia also held positions with Ameritech (now AT&T) as staff RF engineer for cellular and PCS markets in six Midwestern states, with ISCO International, maker of novel RF base station equipment, and with Fermilab National Accelerator as research assistant designing hardware for a muon detection system.
