Professional Experience
Matt joined McAndrews, Held & Malloy as a law clerk in 2005 and became a full time associate in 2007.  Matt has experience in litigation and patent prosecution covering a variety of technological areas.

Prior to law school, Matt worked for Northrop Grumman’s Advanced Avionics R&D.  There, he designed, verified, and evaluated a mathematical model of an experimental multilevel-secure network and created a proof-of-concept demonstration for representatives of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), who had funded the research.

While in school for Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois, Matt also gained engineering experience at a variety of companies, including designing a high density digital cross-connect system for a telecommunications equipment manufacturer, modeling a digital signal processing chip for a satellite manufacturer, and creating microwave transmission line simulations and network simulations for protocol research as a research assistant for the University.
