Professional Experience
Oggie Beremski joined the firm in 2003. The primary focus of his practice is patent prosecution in the electrical and software areas, with emphasis on telecommunications, video processing, and wireless technology.
Prior to joining McAndrews, Held & Malloy, Ltd., Oggie was a Corporate Attorney for a U.S. subsidiary of NEC Corporation. While at NEC, Oggie gained valuable knowledge in the areas of IP/Technology Licensing (including drafting and negotiation), Corporate Restructuring, and Mergers & Acquisitions. In addition, Oggie has assisted outside patent counsel in several substantial patent litigation matters.
While attending Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Oggie was a summer associate with Baker & McKenzie at their Asia/Pacific office in the Republic of Kazakhstan. At Baker & McKenzie, Oggie assisted U.S. and European company clients in the areas of International Intellectual Property Law, Oil & Gas Contracts, Corporate Restructuring, and Corporate Taxation.
