Professional Experience
Sarah joined McAndrews, Held & Malloy as a summer law clerk in 2003 and became a full time associate in 2005.  Sarah has gained experience in litigation and patent prosecution covering a variety of technological areas.

While in law school at DePaul University College of Law Sarah was awarded a prestigious Dean’s scholarship.  She also received the CALI award for excellence in her Copyrights and Trademarks and Secured Transactions classes.  She gained practical experience while advising pro bono clients at the DePaul Technology/Intellectual Property Clinic.

As an undergraduate studying chemistry at Saint Mary’s College, Sarah gained laboratory experience and familiarity with a number of chemical technologies.  She researched an environmentally safe method of using microorganisms for chemical production at Michigan State University under Professor John Frost.  She later researched the use of polymers to form hydrogels at the University of Pittsburgh under Professor Eric Beckman.  During her time at Saint Mary’s, Sarah also held a position as a teaching assistant for introductory chemistry courses.
